special needs residents

Since we started in the world of cat rescue, life opted to put cats with very difficult conditions in our path. And for this reason, we specialize in caring for and sheltering those we call Residents. Although we have a high number of residents, in this section you will only find those residents with special conditions.  If you would like to sponsored one of them, just click in their picture.  All help is appreciated.

Jaimito Luis is approximately 7 y/o. He was rescued under terrible weather. It was difficult to trap him but we made it after several months. His only problem at the time of rescued was asthma, but the extended use of Prednisolone to treat it, cause him diabetes. As for now, he's the most difficult resident to manage, but he's stable. He's also FIV+ and has arthritis. To control his diseases he needs Flovent, Albuterol, insulin (Humulin-N ) when needed, Glycobalance cat food with Omega 3 or Dasuquin & preventives.

We were contacted to help Zorri. She was in an extremely bad shape: emaciated with her back right leg twisted. After the emergency amputation, Zorri went into hepatic failure. Her prognosis was reserved but with our care, she won all odds. Now she's called Tita Turbo as she runs and hide even with three legs. She's also FIV+. To care for her, she's fed with Royal Canin Hydrolyzed food, Denamarin in alternate days and preventives.

Dario was handed to us after wi provided a low cost neuter. After surgery, his owner noticed he turned very aggressive. She couldn't handle him anymore and we took him in. Analyzing Darío, we noticed something weird in his left eye. It was a deep wound his owner never took care of and was mortifying him. We provided a special surgery for him because the wound has so serious that he could develop cancer. After eye surgery, Darío became the sweetest boy. He also have gastrointestinal issues and mild arthritis. His care consists of Royal Canin Gastrointestinal and Dasuquin.
